APPLE + AVOCADO GREEN SMOOTHIE 

When you’re ready to drink to your health, this is a good choice!

Blender 

INGREDIENTS 

1 cup almond milk 

2 apples, cored and quartered 

3 cups loosely packed spinach  

1 avocado, pitted 

1 tablespoon honey 

1/2 inch knob ginger, peeled and chopped 

2 tablespoons lemon juice 

4 or 5 ice cubes 

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Serve immediately. 

VEGAN MANGO LASSI 

Traditionally, lassi is a drink, a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit. In this vegan version, the probiotics that would normally come from live yogurt cultures are added by using a tasteless probiotic powder.

INGREDIENTS 

3/4 cup coconut milk  

1 cup almond milk 

1 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks  

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice  

2 tablespoons coconut sugar 

Pinch ground cinnamon 

1 teaspoon powdered probiotic (optional) 

Put ingredients into blender and process until smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down the blender jar. Sweeten with additional coconut sugar to taste.
